Server Release
The Ashfall server, then named The Goon Cave, was launched. Around 4 players were online, and they were unlucky enough to spawn in the middle of a snow biome. Food was scarce, and rotten flesh was the key to survival.

A Place to Stay
The Goon Lagoon hotel was built at spawn, offering shelter and lots of bread to those who needed a temporary place to get back on their feet. Business for them was booming, even earning a couple diamonds on the first day.

The Dragon was Slain
Everybody saw Matt's insanely fast progress, he was playing the game with speed. He was PvP, and needed the best gear to defend himself from other PvP players. Everybody had thought he was going to be the first to kill the Ender Dragon, and as a result a system was put into place on the 2nd January to give everyone a Dragon Egg upon killing the Ender Dragon, so that it was fair for PvE and PvP players to all have their own trophy. Matt, however, wasn't the first to kill the Ender Dragon, and as it would turn out both xbennies and his girlfriend maddieejadee were the original saviours of The End!

IQ Test
On this day, the first server event was held. Most of the people in the server were all preparing for a test the following morning, so Bennie decided to hold a Minecraft mock exam within the server. There were prizes including mending and netherite, and lots of laughter and surprising results were shared.

Technical Faults
This was a day full of issues, and the same goes for both the previous and following day. The server had finished being migrated to a dedicated machine a few days prior, and things ran well until things suddenly didn't. Plugins were breaking, people were lagging and disconnecting, and worst of all, the server had to be forced offline as the host machine was overheating. These issues all got resolved soon after, and after loads of feedback the server started to undergo lots of changes.

Big Changes
The server started to undergo the aforementioned 'changes'. This was the day after a feedback form was released by Bennie, enquiring to others as to how they like the server, if they'd like it to become more serious, etc. People voted for the server to stay tight-knitted and invite only, whilst making it feel less like a joke and more like a server to actually play and have fun on. As a result, the server was rebranded to Ashfall, the concept of 'Seasons' although not integrated have been realised, and plans for server events are being brainstormed.

The Town of Ashfall
At spawn, nobody lived there apart from Lance. As a result, a town was erected at spawn, aiming to be a PvP safezone and a central hub for socializing, trade and simply just living there! It is named after the server, and due to Lance being the only one actively living there beforehand, he was elected as the Mayor a few hours after its founding. He runs it well, has set up a business there, and spawn returned back to its former glory like it was on the servers release!
